Bath College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Learning Coach to join our team. As a SEN Learning Coach, you will play a vital role in providing excellent support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the college.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with initial, diagnostic, and other assessments to identify students' needs and develop effective support plans.
- Work closely with the College's Inclusion Staff to provide tailored support to students, enabling them to access their learning program and achieve successful outcomes.
- Proactively identify strategies to meet students' needs and promote the use of assistive technology to enhance independence.
- Provide individualized support to students, including 1:1 support, classroom support, and out-of-class support, such as lunch and breaks.
- Monitor students' progress and provide timely feedback on their development, which may be included in reports to parents, carers, employers, and other external agencies.
- Adapt and interpret teaching and instructions for students as needed.
- Contribute to and implement Individual Learning Plans, monitoring achievement against targets, including EHCP outcomes.
- Provide physical support to students, such as carrying and organizing equipment, supporting students using wheelchairs, toilet hoists, etc.
- Assist students with personal care, such as using the toilet, as needed.
- Follow agreed weekly timetables and keep Outlook calendars up to date.
- Contribute to reviews of support as needed throughout the year.
- Maths and English GCSEs at Grade A* to C or equivalent.
