As a Strategic Director, you will play a key role in informing our company's strategic direction, monitoring performance, and ensuring effective risk management. You will also provide guidance on the setup of our office in Accra and our international corporate operations.

We are looking for a candidate with a sound working knowledge of the requirements of Non-Executive Directors, including setting the strategic direction of the company, monitoring performance, financial accountability, and ensuring effective risk management.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and guidance to the Board of Directors
  • Monitoring performance and ensuring effective risk management
  • Providing guidance on the setup of our office in Accra and our international corporate operations
  • Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships

We are seeking a candidate with a strong track record of accomplishment in strategic leadership, international corporate governance, and stakeholder relationship building. You will have a robust and relevant international network and a demonstrable interest in international environmental issues, transboundary science, and/or international development.

Key skills and experience required include:

  • Proven senior leadership experience and knowledge of effective international corporate governance
  • A record of accomplishment of strategic leadership in the creation of new income-generating opportunities internationally
  • Experience of establishing and sustaining effective stakeholder relationships
  • A demonstrable interest in international environmental issues, transboundary science, and/or international development
