Long-Term Teachers Limited: A Specialist School in Frome

We are seeking a qualified teacher to join our dedicated team at a lovely specialist school in Frome, on a maternity cover post. If you are looking for an exciting, varied, and rewarding role, working alongside a skilled and enthusiastic staff team, this could be the opportunity for you.

The school caters for pupils with complex or severe learning needs, and all of the pupils have an Education, Health & Care Plan. We offer a profoundly personalised curriculum, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.

We are looking for a teacher who can demonstrate flexibility, positivity, calmness, patience, and empathy, and who will easily fit in with our hardworking staff team. Key duties include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons that are suited to student individual needs
  • Delivering with an engaging and patient approach
  • Managing behaviours
  • Being up to date and aware of safeguarding policies
  • Having regular feedback sessions with SLT, to monitor students' progress

You will be teaching year 10 and 11 students, all of whom have learning and cognition needs to varying degrees. They are working towards their personalised curriculum rather than being assessed against the national curriculum.

This will be a full-time position, working with a dedicated team to provide the best possible education for our students.
