We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified teacher to join our team as a SEN Teacher. The successful candidate will have experience supporting students with special educational needs and will be able to create a child-centered learning environment that stimulates and motivates pupil potential.

Main Duties:
  • To create a purposeful learning environment that meets the needs of pupils with complex or severe learning needs.
  • To work with children of all ages with a wide range of additional complex needs, including medical needs.
  • To teach the National Curriculum as agreed with SLT and participate in short, medium and long term planning, preparing materials and attending meetings as required.
  • To co-ordinate and personalise the National Curriculum for pupils in their designated class and assist with the development and implementation across the school.
  • To establish a rapport with pupils to develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual potential and to be a main source of reference for any issues arising relating to their wellbeing and development.
  • To manage pupil behaviour and support pupils during learning activities, acting as a role model.
  • To support in extra-curricular activities and school trips.
  • To plan and prepare lessons effectively to ensure they meet the needs of the children within the class.
About You:
  • You must have qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • You should have experience planning and delivering lessons to students with SEN.
  • You should have a strong knowledge of specialist education.
  • You should be able to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • You should be a role model for students and peers to look up to.
  • You should demonstrate flexibility, positivity, calmness, patience, and empathy.
