POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Store Manager to enhance our Columbia Retail team in Braintree, UK.
As part of a diverse European Retail team, your role will be pivotal in driving store performance and fostering team success. Your primary responsibilities will include enhancing store profitability and customer satisfaction while mentoring and inspiring your team.
In the absence of the Store Manager, you will take charge of store operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional customer service by providing expert advice on our products, ensuring a memorable shopping experience.
- Drive sales performance by monitoring progress against key targets and implementing strategies to maximize revenue.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of store staff, collaborating closely with the Store Manager.
- Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best, discussing their development with the Store Manager.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure an appealing store presentation.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with all levels of staff.
- Uphold company policies and procedures while suggesting improvements for operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail or customer service at a management level.
- Proficient in the country’s official language, with a professional level of English required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for teamwork.
- Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Enthusiastic about outdoor activities and eager to share that passion.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
