Under this decade-long framework, RPS will focus on program optimization, solution development, and selection of preferred options based on best value, minimal carbon footprint, and cost-effectiveness. About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting comprises a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts dedicated to Asset Management and Operational Strategy development for our Water Industry clients, facilitating effective business planning and execution. This dynamic industry presents both challenges and opportunities that demand innovation, commitment, and teamwork to fulfill our clients' requirements.

In addition to the framework mentioned, we also collaborate with several major water companies across the UK, maintaining a diverse portfolio of long-term agreements.

Our Water Consultancy division is engaged in prestigious AMP8 initiatives leading into AMP9 and beyond, ensuring a secure career path for the next two decades while leaving a meaningful legacy.

About You:

Candidates should have prior experience in urban drainage projects and demonstrate proficiency in InfoWorks ICM and relevant GIS software.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong teamwork abilities and the capacity to integrate seamlessly into a collaborative environment. Additionally, they will have opportunities to develop their skills as a mentor, providing technical guidance to fellow modelling professionals while prioritizing exceptional client service.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop, validate, and maintain various levels of wastewater models. Conduct feasibility studies, model utilization assessments, optioneering, and development evaluations for wastewater networks. Ensure the quality of modelling outputs and adherence to standards, specifications, and governance requirements. Manage small-scale projects effectively. Foster strong and collaborative relationships with clients. Communicate and cooperate effectively with team members to provide technical support and assistance. Operate in compliance with corporate health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Demonstrated experience in modelling within either a consultancy or water company context. Proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic is expected. Expertise in modelling software, particularly InfoWorks ICM and associated bolt-on packages. Familiarity with GIS Systems (preferably MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS). Skilled in managing and manipulating large datasets. Experience with discipline-specific data analysis tools, particularly those focused on water, such as InfoWorks or InfoAsset. General understanding of the UK water sector. Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

Ideally, a degree in a relevant technical field. Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous. Chartered status or progress towards chartership for Senior or Principal roles. Affiliation with a professional institution such as IET, InstMC, or CIWEM, or actively working towards membership and nearing application.
