As part of our commitment to enhancing patient care, we are seeking a dedicated Ward Administration Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a flexible, casual basis. This role involves overseeing various administrative and compliance tasks within our ward environment.

Are you skilled in delivering prompt and courteous assistance to patients, visitors, and clinical staff?

This is a flexible, casual position designed to accommodate late afternoon and evening shifts.

Typical working hours are from 16:00 to 20:00.

Availability for 3 out of 4 evenings each week, along with occasional Saturday shifts, is required.

Key Responsibilities

You will collaborate with fellow administrative staff and various departments to ensure a high-quality and seamless service is provided.

As the Ward Administration Coordinator, your duties will include scheduling post-operative appointments, tracking patient movements within the ward, and notifying nursing staff when patients return from surgical procedures. This role also involves direct communication with patients and their families.

You will be responsible for managing the ward's data input into the MAXIMS system, which includes auditing data, clinical outcomes, and necessary documentation.

Attendance at meetings and minute-taking will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that notes are accurately recorded and distributed to relevant parties while maintaining organized records of these minutes.

To qualify for the Ward Administration Coordinator position, candidates should have experience in a similar role, ensuring compliance within a department, engaging with diverse internal and external personnel, and promoting patient satisfaction alongside efficient operational processes.

A strong understanding of compliance and governance is essential, as is a commitment to upholding company standards.

We seek a proficient communicator at all levels, with a solid background in administration. Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are also crucial.
