Role Overview:

As the Supply Chain Governance Lead, you will play a pivotal role within the Maritime Services team, focusing on Governance, Compliance, and Sustainability initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the supply chain governance framework, ensuring adherence to processes, supplier evaluations, and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the governance strategy for Maritime Services, which includes process optimization, standardized supplier onboarding, and the development of a future-ready governance framework.
  • Lead the Supply Chain Sustainability Strategy, focusing on Scope 3 emissions reduction and integrating sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
  • Manage the onboarding and due diligence processes for a diverse portfolio of over 1000 suppliers.
  • Utilize functional tools to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Administer the business audit plan, ensuring compliance with established processes and regulations while addressing any identified issues.
  • Act as a thought leader, driving change and influencing best practices across the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Governance for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise a team of four professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional stakeholder management abilities across various functions.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, promoting a culture of inclusivity and diverse perspectives.
  • Extensive background in supply chain management or related fields.
  • Strong expertise in Governance, Audit, Process Mapping, and Sustainable Practices.
  • In-depth understanding of the external market landscape and relevant intelligence.
  • Ability to manage and influence relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective governance delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CIPS Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Relevant auditing certifications.
