As a Security Officer with Securitas Security Services, you will play a vital role in protecting critical information and assets for a leading international defence, aerospace, and security company.
You will be responsible for securely guarding the property, company assets, visiting customers, and employees, as well as carrying out patrols across a large facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manning a static guardhouse and signing in company visitors
- Remaining alert and vigilant to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening activity
- Retaining full control of any threatening behaviour until the arrival of the Police or other external agency
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are always followed, recording and reporting all faults, health, and safety hazards
- Operating radios and physical security equipment used on site
- Carrying out initial investigations and reporting both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities, objects, and vehicles
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a Corporate Security environment
- A current SIA Licence or willingness to complete the necessary training to acquire professional accreditation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills, able to articulate with authority
- A resilient approach to your guarding duties
- Vigilance and alertness, able to use caution and apply an inquisitive mindset to your duties
- A clear 5-year checkable employment history
- UK right to work criteria
- A basic level of PC literacy, able to use email and operate a two-way radio
