Job Title: Advanced Paediatric Neuro Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Paediatric Neuro Physiotherapist to join our team at The Portland Hospital, London. As a key member of our Physiotherapy department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to children with neurological conditions.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric neuro physiotherapy, with experience in assessing and treating children with a range of neurological conditions. You will be confident in your ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To assess and diagnose paediatric patients with neurological conditions, using expert clinical reasoning and observation skills.
  2. To develop and implement individualised physiotherapy treatment plans, based on evidence-based practice and treatment options.
  3. To provide physiotherapy intervention to children with diverse or complex pathology/presentations, including those with foreign language barriers or cognitive/perceptual difficulties.
  4. To provide clinical support to more junior members of staff and across other areas of the hospital.
  5. To work flexibly to the needs of the service and participate in the out-of-hours weekend and standby service as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Experience of NICU / follow-up of premature babies desirable.
  • Experience working within in-patient and out-patient settings within an acute hospital.
  • Experience working across other disciplines within physiotherapy e.g. rotations.
