This position calls for a versatile and creative Speech & Language Specialist to join a committed team focused on assisting children with communication difficulties. As a newly qualified professional, you will be responsible for providing targeted interventions and support to children experiencing a variety of communication challenges. Your role will involve assessing, diagnosing, planning, delivering, and implementing tailored support to address the specific clinical needs of each child in various settings. You will collaborate with and offer training, guidance, and mentorship to parents, caregivers, educational staff, and other professionals, ensuring a cohesive and effective speech and language service for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate as an independent practitioner, conducting assessments, diagnoses, and management for children and young individuals with communication disorders, as part of the Children's Speech and Language Therapy team.

- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive care planning and intervention.

- Contribute promptly to the assessment and review processes for Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) and Continuing NHS Funded Care, providing necessary reports and participating in multidisciplinary meetings as required.

- Maintain appropriate communication and conduct at all times, in alignment with the organization's vision and values.

- Deliver effective training programs for parents/caregivers and colleagues in Health, Education, and Social Care.

- Assist in the supervision and training of Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and students.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure the provision of high-quality, safe, and compassionate healthcare.

- Adhere to local and national standards regarding record-keeping, activity data, and caseload management.
