About the Role:

You will be working on a high-profile scheme in the UK, delivering a critical infrastructure project. We are looking for a Utility Site Engineer to join our team to deliver multiple projects within budget and timescales, while ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Completing documentation to secure contracts and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Delivering utility diversion projects, including water, gas, electric, and communications infrastructure.
  • Setting out projects on site from inception to completion, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Managing day-to-day site operations, including logistics and supply chain management.
  • Writing and implementing Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) and Work Packages (WPPs) for Infrastructure Task Plans (ITPs).
  • Coordinating with surrounding works and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Completing daily records for programme delays, attendees, and commercial issues.
  • Ensuring ITPs are agreed and completed accordingly, maintaining project momentum.

Requirements:

To be successful, you should have experience in the utility industry and have previously undertaken a similar role in delivering multiple utilities (at least two of the following: water, gas, electrical, communications). You should also have:

  • Commercial and contract awareness, including negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent organisation and logistics skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulations, with a focus on risk management.
  • Technical capability and responsibility for site teams, including training and development.

Qualifications:

  • SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
  • NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
  • TWC (Technical Water Competence) certification (optional).
  • First Aid Qualified certification (optional).
  • Driving Licence.

Key Tasks:

  • Management of utility projects, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Management of Health and Safety on site, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Delivery of works on site in a safe and productive manner, meeting project deadlines.
