Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Wirral Mind. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with mental health issues and/or learning disabilities, enabling them to lead full lives and develop their skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and practical help, care, and support to individuals in their daily lives, under the direction and supervision of senior staff.
  • Assist individuals in undertaking everyday living skills, such as personal care, cooking, and cleaning, to promote independence and dignity.
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources and leisure activities, promoting social inclusion and well-being.
  • Assist with medication administration, personal care needs, and budget management, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to Wirral Mind's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in activities that strengthen the operational functions of the project, including staff meetings, supervision, and training.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience working in a Supported Living or Health and Social Care setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Full, clean, UK Driver's License (preferred).
  • United Kingdom work authorization.
