We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Assistant to join our team at Wellington Health and Fitness Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the club.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive image of the club
  • Ensure the safety and control of customers and the public within the club, particularly in the pool environment
  • Assist customers with the use of facilities and activities, and encourage maximum use of the club
  • Maintain the club's presentation, cleanliness, and equipment
  • Perform routine monitoring and maintenance of plant, equipment, and fittings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in the leisure or hospitality industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic maintenance and repair skills
  • Valid lifeguarding qualifications
