About Rockfield Specialist Recruitment

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Lead to join our client, a leading global FMCG manufacturer, in a fantastic opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in product development.

About the Role

As a Product Development Lead, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of complex NPD and innovation projects, ensuring delivery of the R&D plan to agreed timings, budget, and quality standards. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both internally and with suppliers, to develop new products and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Leadership: Lead a portfolio of complex NPD and innovation projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting quality standards.
  2. Customer Insights: Understand customer and consumer insights and translate them into safe, legal, and repeatable specifications.
  3. Technical Expertise: Ensure a sound technical understanding of the effects of ingredients and have experience of powder-manufacturing processes.
  4. Relationship Building: Forge strong and effective relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both internally and with suppliers.

About You

You will be qualified by degree (or equivalent) in food science or food technology and have a high level of numeracy to interpret trend analysis and consumer insights. Experience of new process technologies and managing multiple projects is highly desirable.
