Production Manager Surface Treatments

Are you a seasoned Production Manager with experience in surface treatment or aviation looking to take on a new challenge? We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Production Manager Surface Treatments.
Job Summary:We are a leading organization in the aerospace industry, and we are looking for a Production Manager to oversee the surface treatment process. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality, cost, safety, and people to maximize operating capacity and output.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet production targets
- Utilize labor efficiently to maximize productivity
- Assess resource requirements and set plans for required training and personal improvement plans
- Manage throughput and labor to meet production demands in all areas, including inspection
- Ensure best working practices and continuous improvement activities are driven
- Oversee production processes to ensure quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines are adhered to
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide timescales and schedules for delivery
- Create production schedules through Microsoft Excel or ERP systems for various internal and external customers
- Liaise with indirect production planning and production control teams to ensure on-time-in-full objectives are met
- Supervise and oversee the work of production staff, providing guidance, training, and working with the operations manager on performance evaluations and appraisals
- Mentor direct employees to improve understanding and comprehension, driving team morale and creating a positive team culture
- Identify areas of improvement and bottlenecks, helping to implement solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste and rework
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of production equipment and machinery
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure adequate supply of raw materials, including paints and consumables required for production processes
- Collaborate with the quality department to record scrap and rework, assisting in RCCA/5Y's as required
- Previous experience in a supervisory or production management role in a similar facility
- Sufficient surface treatment experience is preferred
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing or similar
- Support in the implementation of the Epicor Kinetic ERP system
