About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Solution Architect to join our Cloud Data Platforms team at Capgemini. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data-focused Microsoft Azure projects, working closely with our sales team to formulate and execute sales strategies, and collaborating with our delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with other solution architects to assess solution alignment to the overall architectural blueprint and drive proposal writing, solution direction, pricing, and costing.
  • Own solution development as a liaison between sales and delivery teams, serving as a technical liaison between sales teams, clients, delivery, and support teams up to and including contract negotiations.
  • Design architecture for data-focused Microsoft Azure projects, cooperate with sales teams to formulate and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue objectives.
  • Work on Microsoft Azure PaaS and IaaS, specifically: App Services, Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, Storage, Synapse Analytics, Purview, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake. Understand which Azure data-focused components to use for which purpose.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
  • Knowledge of automation tooling such as Azure DevOps to facilitate CI/CD approaches to IaC.
  • Knowledge of IaaS implementation, availability sets, Azure networking concepts, Express Route, DNS, and Load Balancing.
  • Strong skills in areas such as Docker, Kubernetes, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
