About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Wellbeing Lead to join our team at Retirement Villages Group. As a key member of our wellbeing team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of our residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the emergency response service team, responding to emergency calls within the village and delivering first aid where needed. You will also promote the health and wellbeing of older people living within the village, helping to maintain independence and safety for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response Team Lead: Lead the emergency response service team, responding to emergency calls within the village and delivering first aid where needed.
- Wellbeing Promotion: Promote the health and wellbeing of older people living within the village, helping to maintain independence and safety for residents.
- Wellbeing Assessments: Carry out wellbeing assessments for residents and enhance the current wellbeing service.
- Audit and Reporting: Audit service delivery, report on the outcomes and impact of the service.
- Team Management: Manage the team rota and shift patterns so provision is provided 24/7.
- System Monitoring: Support monitoring of the emergency call system, report issues and faults to the village manager.
- Resident Assessments: Carry out wellbeing baseline and annual assessments for residents as per the RVG policy.
- Health Signposting: Signpost to healthcare professionals, e.g., GP / primary care services.
- Wellbeing Education: Provide information and awareness sessions about key health issues such as osteoporosis, falls prevention, heart disease, etc.
- Wellbeing Focus Groups: Set up wellbeing focus groups to meet up on a monthly basis where appropriate.
- Health and Safety: Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety in your location adhere to RVG's Health and Safety policies and requirements.
Requirements:
- Emergency First Aid: Emergency first aid qualified and able to get to the floor unaided and unassisted; confident in administering CPR until further help arrives.
- Experience: Significant experience in managing older people.
- Primary Care: Experience or knowledge of primary care and referral to primary care.
- Team Management: Experience of managing a team and organizing staffing rotas.
- Risk Analysis: Ability to analyze risk and respond appropriately, seeking support as necessary.
- Emergency Response: Full understanding of supporting a resident in an emergency situation and supporting until emergency services arrive.
