About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Dementia Adviser, specializing in supporting the South Asian community in North London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to individuals with dementia and their carers, empowering them to maintain independence and improve their overall well-being.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local contacts, including health and care professionals, to promote Alzheimer's Society services and provide dementia support.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to ensure seamless and consistent support for individuals affected by dementia.
  • Deliver support face-to-face, by telephone, and online, adapting to the needs of each individual.
Requirements
  • Fluency in south Asian languages, particularly Urdu, and potentially Hindi.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to equal opportunity.
  • Good understanding of dementia and the needs of people affected by dementia.
  • Ability to travel independently around North London.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
