Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Oak Furnitureland. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of delivery drivers and warehouse staff to ensure the smooth operation of our depot.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day activities of the depot, including vehicle checks, driver inductions, and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, transport legislation, and company policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and motivate a team of delivery drivers and warehouse staff to achieve expected KPIs.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and ensure all vehicles are compliant with DVSA guidelines.
- Investigate and report on any incidents or accidents.
- Monitor and report on operational performance, including delivery times, vehicle utilization, and customer satisfaction.
- Proven experience of managing teams in an operations environment, preferably in the logistics or furniture industry.
- Demonstrable knowledge of transport legislation and health and safety regulations.
- FLT counterbalance license essential.
- IOSH and CPC qualifications preferred but not essential.
