AWS Utility Computing (UC) is responsible for product innovations, ranging from foundational services like Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to a continuous stream of new product offerings that distinguish AWS in the industry.

As a member of the UC team, you will play a vital role in the development and management of services related to Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Applications within AWS, including support for clients requiring specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

What does a Systems Engineer do at AWS?

At Amazon, we foster a collaborative, purposeful, and enthusiastic environment where we embody the motto: "Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History." We take ownership of our services and strive to make out-of-hours support as seamless as possible. To achieve this, we implement best practices for Operational Excellence and aim to automate manual processes.

As a Systems Engineer at AWS, you will leverage your Linux expertise to troubleshoot, innovate solutions, maintain software updates, and provide data and metrics that enhance the capacity and efficiency of our services.

You will utilize your networking knowledge to identify and resolve connectivity issues.

You understand the best practices in system design and the significance of creating systems and services that are secure, scalable, reliable, resilient, efficient, and high-performing.

You communicate effectively and collaborate with others to achieve results. You are a self-starter, comfortable navigating ambiguity and change. You are customer-focused, always striving to comprehend customer pain points and find swift, comprehensive resolutions.
