Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

Our client is committed to greener, faster, and better construction methods, addressing the housing shortage and supporting the UK's net zero carbon goals. They operate with a people-first approach, providing a collaborative and diverse work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support project delivery, ensuring work is completed on or ahead of schedule and within budget
  • Assist with pre-construction activities such as pricing, payment terms, and contract documentation
  • Work with sub-contracted installers, managing payments and contract agreements
  • Handle day-to-day contract administration, including payment applications, variations, and notices
  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage cash collection and commercial risks
  • Prepare Monthly Cost Reports (MCR) and contribute to value engineering and cost management
  • Monitor and report on project costs and progress throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Requirements:
  • Strong commercial understanding and financial skills, including budget control and cost reporting experience
  • Experience in contract administration and record keeping
  • Ideally experienced in the construction, contractor or manufacturing sectors
  • Full UK Driving Licence and a car
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field is preferred but not essential.
