About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary School Teacher/Cover Supervisor to join our team as a supply teacher. This role is ideal for a flexible and adaptable individual who can seamlessly step in to cover classes and support teaching staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for students.
  • Classroom Management: Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and productive learning environment, promoting student engagement and well-being.
  • Student Support: Provide support to students with their learning, addressing any questions or concerns they may have, and fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure continuity in the delivery of the curriculum, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the school leadership team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in teaching and education.
  • Classroom Management Skills: Strong classroom management skills, enabling effective management of classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Subject Expertise: Ability to teach a variety of subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4, showcasing a broad range of teaching skills and subject knowledge.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and students.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the school, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow.
