Job Overview

At boxxe, we're seeking a highly skilled System Support Specialist to join our Secure Services Team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering top-tier support to our managed service customers, configuring and maintaining systems, and ensuring high availability of infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Administer and maintain computer networks, systems software, applications, and hardware configurations across diverse customer environments.
  • Cloud Management: Oversee, maintain, and patch Azure Stack Systems.
  • Disaster Recovery: Execute disaster recovery operations and data backups as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance proactively, making adjustments to optimize efficiency.
  • Infrastructure Monitoring: Manage system and infrastructure monitoring for customers, ensuring high availability.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security, backup, resilience, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Documentation: Develop and update user guides and knowledge-based articles to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors and boxxe technical staff to resolve problems.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Good cloud knowledge, preferably in Azure/Azure Stack.
  • Virtualization and Containerization: Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Monitoring Systems: Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, PRTG etc.).
  • Networking Knowledge: Good networking knowledge and experience of OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) network layers, TCP/IP.
  • Enterprise Hardware: Experience of typical enterprise level hardware vendor solutions (e.g., Compute, Storage, LAN, WLAN, EUC).
  • Documentation Skills: Experience of producing quality support documentation.
  • Certifications: Desirable vendors certifications include: CCNA, MCSA, VCP or similar.
