Role Overview

As a Relief Chef, you will play a vital role in our dynamic organization, collaborating with our senior culinary team to create delicious dishes that nourish both body and mind. This position is ideal for an experienced Senior Chef who thrives in independent work settings and seeks a fulfilling opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cover long-term absences, including sickness and holidays, as well as recruitment gaps.
- Ensure all dishes meet the company’s quality standards and client expectations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, considering dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
- Adapt quickly to various kitchen environments and team dynamics.
- Fill in for permanent chefs as required, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Be available to work across different locations within the designated area.
- Collaborate with the catering team for special events and culinary initiatives.
- Foster a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within contract catering or educational settings is preferred.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institution.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
