Midwife Opportunity at Newham University Hospital

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated midwife to join our vibrant Maternity team at Newham University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive midwifery care in the maternity unit and primary health care setting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and holistic patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work collaboratively to deliver high-quality care and services to patients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans to meet the needs of patients.
  • Contribute to the improvement of patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements
  • Registered Midwife - eligible to practice.
  • Band 6 midwife with 1 year experience or more.
  • Prep for Mentorship course or equivalent.
  • Working towards BSc.
  • Examination of the newborn.

  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding when communicating with clients.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet service requirements.

  • Effectively carry out tasks related to evaluating services.

  • Ability to monitor the quality of own work.
  • Able to recognize own limits and work within those limits of competence.
