Position: Governance Coordinator (Part-Time)

The primary objective of this position is to oversee and manage all functions, policies, and documentation associated with the governance of the organization.

This role serves as the main point of contact for all governance-related initiatives, providing advice and support to staff on these matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the establishment and enhancement of the governance framework, including Councils and Committees, while managing arrangements and documentation for these bodies.
  • Overseeing the management processes for both statutory and non-statutory appointments and reappointments.

It is essential to stay informed about principles and best practices regarding equality, diversity, and inclusion, applying these comprehensively to governance-related activities and documentation.

This is a part-time, permanent role with a starting salary of £27,699 per annum (full-time equivalent: £46,265). The position is primarily home-based, with occasional travel required.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Strong administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of fostering and nurturing robust relationships with staff and governance structures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and circumstances.
  • Experience in a similar governance framework, with a comprehensive understanding of governance operations and terminology.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be knowledgeable about current equality, diversity, and inclusion laws and practices, with experience in applying these principles to governance activities.
  • Have a background in participating in inter-regulatory governance groups and addressing necessary actions.
  • Demonstrate high-quality administration skills for committees and working groups, including meeting scheduling and documentation.
