Overview:

First Military Recruitment is actively seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to join our esteemed client in the construction sector. We welcome applications from ex-military personnel, although all qualified candidates will be considered.


Key Responsibilities:

- Support the creation, management, and enhancement of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management system, ensuring it aligns with current legislation and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the design of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) training and awareness initiatives.
- Aid in the execution of the 'BRAVE' behavioral safety program within the construction environment.
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits alongside management to ensure compliance with company policies, client expectations, and legal standards, providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Assist in the investigation and documentation of incidents, including close calls and near misses, to foster a culture of safety.
- Uphold integrity in all health and safety responsibilities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Manage essential HSE data to facilitate accurate trend analysis and develop responsive strategies for identified trends.
- Collaborate on Occupational Health and Wellbeing campaigns to raise awareness and promote a healthy workplace.
- Support the HSE Manager in delivering health and safety insights for tenders and pre-qualification submissions.
- Assist the HSE Manager in executing the strategic objectives related to Health and Safety.


Qualifications:

- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate is essential.
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within large construction or civil engineering projects.
