About the Role
Simpson Booth Careers is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for conducting the assembly, testing, delivery, commissioning, installation, and repair of projects for the subsea sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or assist with the assembly of complex structural assemblies to technical drawings.
- Liaise with the Project Engineering Team when conducting the lead on a project task.
- Ensure a quality build and follow assembly and inspection procedures.
- Provide technical assistance for customers, which may involve site visits of both a national and international nature, both offshore and onshore.
- Assist with fault finding and detailed service reporting when conducting service work.
- Identify areas for Continuous Improvement.
- Mentor and train juniors.
- Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and environment.
- Promote quality, efficiency, and a high standard of work ethic.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of mechanical fitting and a ability to work effectively in a team environment.
