Support Worker for Cerebral Palsy Client

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing care and support to a 39-year-old lady with cerebral palsy. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for individuals with physical disabilities and be able to provide 1-1 support 24 hours a day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the client with all transfers and personal care
  • Support the client to access community activities and complete therapy programmes
  • Communicate effectively with the client, her family, and other professionals involved
  • Drive the client's car and be confident in doing so
Requirements
  • NVQ (or equivalent) in care and recent training
  • Experience in caring for individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities
  • Positive interest in active rehabilitation and desire to enable the client to reach her full potential
  • Female (due to the occupational nature of the role)
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to drive the client's car
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
