Position Overview
The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Advanced Spinal Care Nurse Practitioner to join our esteemed Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery (CSSS). Role Objective
The primary aim of this role is to facilitate a comprehensive, patient-focused care pathway that exemplifies both clinical excellence and operational effectiveness. The Advanced Spinal Care Nurse Practitioner will ensure that each spinal patient receives prompt, specialized care tailored to their unique requirements, from initial assessment through rehabilitation and eventual discharge.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Enhancing clinical quality and accessibility throughout the spinal patient journey.
- Providing visible leadership and support to the multidisciplinary team.
- Offering expert guidance to healthcare professionals involved in spinal care.
- Ensuring timely management of spinal patients in collaboration with operational teams.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and participating in audits to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Acting as a patient advocate and a reliable point of contact for patients and their families.
- Contributing to service enhancement efforts and engaging in research within the specialty.
