Job Overview

As a seasoned project manager, you will lead the charge in addressing hardware, software, and system obsolescence within our organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Obsolescence Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of projects aimed at addressing hardware, software, and system obsolescence, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  2. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify critical systems nearing obsolescence, assess associated risks, and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and compliance.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, procurement, and other business units to ensure seamless upgrades, replacements, and decommissions.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with senior management and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables, providing regular project updates and reports.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all obsolescence management efforts comply with regulatory requirements, including data protection, cybersecurity, and operational risk guidelines.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in project management within the Banking industry, ideally investment banking.
  2. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software lifecycles, and obsolescence challenges in the banking sector.
  3. Project Management Skills: Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale IT projects with multiple stakeholders, with PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant certification preferred.
  4. Risk and Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to IT systems, including cybersecurity and data protection laws.
