Lead Diabetes Nurse/Community Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual with advanced diabetes clinical skills to lead our Diabetes Service. As the lead nurse for diabetes within our trust, you will play a critical role in ensuring diabetes nursing care is of the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Professional Leadership: Provide professional leadership to the nursing workforce within Diabetes and Endocrine, progressing diabetes nursing in line with local, regional, and national policies.
- Develop Specialty Service: Lead the development of the specialty service and contribute to the strategic direction of nursing within the trust.
- Act as a Role Model: Act as a role model, demonstrating and setting high standards of care and providing clinical leadership to others.
- Develop and Implement Strategy: Work with the clinical lead for Diabetes and Endocrinology & Chief Nurse team to develop and facilitate the implementation of a strategy of diabetes nursing to meet the needs of patients both in hospital and in the community.
- Collate and Record Data: Collate and record quantitative and qualitative data that provide evidence of productivity, outcomes, and quality through audit and research.
- Offer Professional Advice: Offer professional advice and expertise that influences the development of local diabetes strategies and implementation plans.
- Deliver Nursing Strategy: Play an integral role in the delivery of the Nursing and Midwifery strategy.
