Position Overview:
As an Automation and Control Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing production efficiency and effectiveness. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and refine production methodologies to achieve operational goals while providing expert guidance to both production and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical expertise to the production workforce.
- Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to boost yield, quality, throughput, and overall productivity.
- Spearhead initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing and operational workflows.
- Monitor production metrics and proactively address any adverse trends.
- Lead and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with external contractors to address challenges and enhance processes.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of capital enhancement projects.
- Work cross-functionally to meet organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance and training to the operations team.
- Evaluate and enhance equipment, process control sequences, and operational protocols.
- Educate production staff to improve their technical skills and process understanding.
- Ensure seamless communication during shift transitions.
- Uphold company Health & Safety regulations consistently.
- Undertake additional relevant responsibilities as necessary.

Candidate Profile:
- Educational background in process engineering or equivalent experience as a maintenance technician with expertise in process control.
- HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician.
- Minimum of five years of experience, ideally within a food production setting.
- Demonstrated success in production technical processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with PLCs, variable speed drives, and troubleshooting techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SCADA systems, pneumatic systems, and supervisory roles.
- Understanding of LEAN manufacturing methodologies.
