Position Title: Project Accountant
Location: Brighton, UK
Work Arrangement: Onsite presence is required for a minimum of four days each week.
Role Overview
The Project Accountant will play a vital role in managing and overseeing financial aspects of various projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting program cost accounting and control.
- Analyzing financial performance and effectively communicating results to key stakeholders.
- Providing project accounting insights and evaluating financial performance, including Earned Value Management (EVM) when necessary.
- Executing revenue accounting and financial analysis.
- Engaging in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting based on inputs from Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
- Delivering financial actuals to support IPT planning and contributing to pricing strategies for products and services.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and developing financial scenarios to assist Work Package Leads and IPT Leaders in cost management decisions.
- Creating financial performance metrics in alignment with governance and IPT requirements.
- Ensuring timely receipt of payments into the organization.
- Developing cost and pricing models to facilitate the generation of priced proposals in response to customer requests.
- Managing program finances within company business systems, including bid costs and sales forecasts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Prior experience in a Project Finance role.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) methodologies.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
Additional Information
