About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to work in secondary schools across Leicestershire.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who face behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • De-escalating situations and promoting positive behaviour
  • Providing one-on-one or small-group support to help students stay engaged in their learning
  • Working with teachers to develop and implement behaviour plans
  • Collaborating with other support staff to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management

We are looking for someone with experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural needs. You will need to have strong communication skills, patience, and resilience.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural needs

  • A driving licence is beneficial as some schools may not be easily accessible via public transport
