About the Role

GSL Education is seeking dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistants to work in secondary schools across Leicestershire.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who face behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • De-escalate situations and promote positive behaviour
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group support to help students stay engaged in their learning
  • Work with teachers to develop and implement behaviour plans
  • Support students with emotional and social difficulties

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural needs
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A valid DBS certificate on the update service or the willingness to apply for one
  • Patience, resilience, and strong communication skills
  • A driving licence is beneficial as some schools may not be easily accessible via public transport
