About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Options for Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored care plans to support individuals with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses.
  • Provide low-intensity psychological interventions and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Assist in managing service users' risk and problem behaviors, and plan and coordinate therapeutic groups.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of care plans and treatment strategies.
  • Engage in research and service evaluation activities to inform the development of best-practice interventions and improve service outcomes.
  • Develop and co-facilitate training and education sessions and materials to support the development of staff skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Hold a Psychology degree with a minimum of 2:1 honors, recognized by the British Psychological Society.
  • Have at least 12 months of experience working with individuals who have mental health challenges and/or learning disabilities, as well as physical health issues or cognitive impairments.
