Cathcart Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the testing process for their products, leading the end-to-end testing processes for embedded software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multiple teams to create and execute effective testing strategies, ensuring software is reliable and meets industry standards.
- Conduct and analyze tests during all stages of development, designing and implementing test plans that cover all necessary aspects.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to increase efficiency and reduce testing time.
- Work closely with software teams to identify and fix issues, acting as the main liaison with other teams.
- Lead the testing process for embedded software, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to customers.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems and RTOS.
- Experience with MCU/DSP processors.
- Strong leadership experience, with evidence of delivering on projects.
- Scripting experience (Python/Shell/C/C++ etc.).
- Automation experience.
- Experience with Jira/Git/CI Systems (e.g. Jenkins) is a plus.
