Senior Embedded Software Quality Assurance Engineer

At Cathcart Technology, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in driving the testing process for our products, leading the end-to-end testing processes for embedded software.
Your Key Responsibilities
You'll collaborate with multiple teams to create and execute effective testing strategies, ensuring software is reliable and meets industry standards. Your expertise will be invaluable in designing and implementing test plans that cover all necessary aspects, including automation to increase efficiency.
As a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer, you'll be involved in the testing throughout the product lifecycle, conducting and analysing tests during all stages of development. You'll work closely with software teams to identify and fix issues, while acting as the main liaison with other teams.
Your Ideal Background
We're looking for someone with strong knowledge of embedded systems and RTOS, experience with MCU/DSP processors, and strong leadership experience. Scripting experience in languages like Python, Shell, C, or C++ is also essential. Automation experience and familiarity with Jira/Git/CI Systems like Jenkins would be a bonus.
