Aircraft Simulator Technician

Morson Talent Careers is seeking an experienced Aircraft Simulator Technician to join our team at RNAS Yeovilton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the maintenance and provision of Synthetic Training Equipment (STE) to the Merlin Commando Training Facility on time and to the agreed standard.
  • Support the Authority Chief Instructor (ACI) and Synthetic Training Manager (STE) in achieving STE availability-related Key Performance Indicators.
  • Provide on-site engineering support for delivered STE, including morning readiness, system start-up, preventative and corrective maintenance, spare part installation, inventory management, and end-of-day shut-down.
  • Carry out bay maintenance on STE repairable items and provide maintenance coverage for STE, including unplanned corrective repair in the event of failure.
  • Support the STE Manager in ensuring that all planned maintenance is completed to schedule and cost.

Requirements:

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance and synthetic training equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will work at RNAS Yeovilton, with a shift routine and occasional overtime.
