Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Liaison Officer to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local communities, promoting our services and engaging with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

The Community Liaison Officer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing community engagement strategies to promote our services and improve health outcomes;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with local community groups, organizations, and stakeholders;
  • Providing information and support to patients, families, and carers on our services and facilities;
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of community engagement activities;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives and making recommendations for improvement.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders;
  • Experience of working in a community-facing role, preferably in a healthcare setting;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours;
  • Basic IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable Criteria

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • A teaching qualification or experience of delivering training;
  • Experience of working in a hospital setting, preferably at band 5 level;
  • Knowledge of local community groups and organizations.
