Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with additional needs.
  • Supervise students during non-structured times such as lunch and break periods, as required.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and school events as part of the wider school community.
  • Uphold the school's values and commitment to inclusivity, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognized HLTA qualification.
  • Demonstrate proven experience working as an HLTA or in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the secondary curriculum and the ability to support students across various subjects.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to respond to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
  • Express a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • First aid training or willingness to undertake training.
