Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a pivotal role within the Cancer Services division as the Oncology Performance Coordinator. This position is essential for overseeing the adherence to Cancer Waiting Times benchmarks. The successful candidate will supervise the Assistant Oncology Performance Coordinator and the Urgent Appointment Team Leader, while also managing the broader Cancer Services team, which includes Cancer Pathway Coordinators, Urgent Appointment Coordinators, and MDT Assistants. A collaborative approach with each Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and Division is crucial to ensure that any performance-related issues are addressed in line with established protocols.

We invite applications from individuals with substantial experience in oncology settings, possessing robust data analysis and IT capabilities, along with a proven track record in team management and driving change.

Key Responsibilities

Role Highlights

  • To spearhead the organization's performance in relation to the mandated Cancer Waiting Times Standards.
  • To provide reports on compliance, pinpoint areas needing enhancement, and proactively work to optimize performance.
  • To oversee the administrative processes necessary for achieving clinical performance management objectives within Cancer Services.
  • To identify the cancer information needs of each Clinical Multidisciplinary Team and the organization as a whole.
  • To design and implement systems and processes that fulfill these requirements.
  • To collaborate with the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Head of Cancer Services, Lead Cancer Clinician, and Lead Cancer Nurse to address any identified gaps.
  • To manage the Administrative and Clerical functions for Cancer Services.

Qualifications
