About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Academic Support Librarian to join our team at Camberwell College of Arts. As a key member of the Library Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality library services that support the academic activities of the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of student-focused library services that meet the needs of our academic community.
  • Provide frontline services and work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the library.
  • Support specified courses and programmes of study, establishing effective working relationships with course teams and promoting access to resources, collections, and services.
  • Assist in the provision of enquiry services and develop learning materials that encourage the use of resources and services.
  • Supervise and contribute to library shelving and related activities, demonstrating an understanding of manual handling guidelines.
About You

We are looking for someone with a compassionate and student-centred approach. You should have a degree-level qualification and/or relevant library qualifications and experience in a library or other education or information role.

You will have demonstrable ability to work in a team, be a first-rate communicator with excellent written, presentation, and liaison skills, and demonstrate the ability to teach information skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office with good IT skills.
