At Argus Media, we are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Market Reporter - European Electricity to join our team. As a Market Reporter - European Electricity, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing European electricity markets to produce daily price assessments, market analysis, news, and reports.



You will engage daily with the industry to ensure a close understanding of market developments through daily contact with key market figures to build relationships and gather news. Your role will also involve contributing high-quality and original copy to the report and the on-line news service, following house style.



We are looking for a self-motivated and initiative-driven individual with excellent writing and grammar skills, as well as proficiency in working with Excel. You will have a demonstrable interest in global business and politics, and be able to use initiative and equipped with an inquisitive nature.



As a Market Reporter - European Electricity, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a rapidly evolving market as Europe strives to reach net-zero carbon emissions targets. You will enjoy collaborative work with colleagues from a range of backgrounds, many located in Argus' other offices around the globe.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess markets to produce daily price assessments, market analysis, news, and reports
  • Engage daily with the industry to ensure a close understanding of market developments through daily contact with key market figures to build relationships and gather news
  • Contribute high-quality and original copy to the report and the on-line news service, following house style
  • Help to build and curate data sets that help explain market dynamics
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and industry events to build contacts, report on news, and represent Argus
