Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Broker to join our US Energy Casualty Team in London. As a Senior Broker, you will be responsible for placing complex and sophisticated risks into the London market while supporting and mentoring less-experienced colleagues to produce optimum client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze client submissions to identify opportunities for risk placement
  • Lead quote broking and follow market broking to secure optimal risk placements
  • Present terms to clients and network to ensure successful risk placement
  • Record broking activity in market sheets to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Review and finalize Market Risk Certificates to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Send cover confirmation to clients and network to confirm risk placement
  • Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients to ensure optimal risk management
  • Attend client meetings to discuss risk placement and provide expert advice
  • Establish and manage pipeline to ensure timely and effective risk placement

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of market broking experience within the US and/or International Casualty Energy marketplace
  • Knowledge of all Up/Mid/Downstream sectors, including Utilities and Renewables experience
  • Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes
  • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
  • Experience of managing effective client relationships
  • Ability to structure complex placement programs with the best client outcomes in mind
  • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
