Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Game Designer to join our team at PlayStation. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and immersive gameplay experiences that meet the high standards of our brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality gameplay spaces that support and enhance the narrative, core mechanics, and creative vision of the game.
  • Collaborate closely with artists, game designers, narrative teams, and directors to ensure a cohesive and engaging game experience.
  • Take ownership of parts of our game world, working directly with the Lead Level Designer, Level Design Team, Narrative team, and Directors.
  • Proactively identify and raise upcoming issues on behalf of the team to the Level Design Lead.
  • Review levels as they are constructed and provide feedback to team members to ensure consistency and high quality across the entire game.

Requirements

  • Ability to own and deliver high-quality work with minimal guidance from others.
  • Exceptional creativity and design skills, with a deep understanding of game design theory and best practices.
  • Significant professional game development experience, with an impressive portfolio that showcases your skills and expertise.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
