Job Title: General Builder
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Builder to join our team at Norse Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a range of roofing repairs and other external works, including flagging, minor brickwork, pointing, floor screening, and general building work within the repairs of commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting roofing repairs and strip backs across various roof types and other external ground works, such as flagging and floor screening.
- Completing roofing and general building work to a high standard across the Alliance, predominantly on commercial properties but may include domestic as and when required on the HP housing stock.
- Completing work as effectively as possible and to the defined standards, including the collection and return where required of materials to stores.
- Undertaking other trades duties within your skills and experience, such as minor brick work, replacement of gutters, soffits, and facias, flagging and replacing loft insulation.
- Consulting with the scheduling team on the completion of the work, including where appropriate, the planning of work to ensure the most effective use of time and resources.
Requirements
- Trade qualification in joinery or bricklaying (NVQ/C&G)
- Knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
- Experience of working on old commercial buildings
- Extensive roofing work experience in a similar environment
