About the Role

5 Hertford Street, a prestigious private member's club, is seeking a highly skilled Head Sommelier to lead our Upper Floor Restaurant team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine experiences to our discerning guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement wine lists that showcase our extensive wine collection
  • Train and mentor our Sommelier team to ensure they meet our high standards
  • Manage wine service operations to ensure seamless execution
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create wine pairing menus

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel, restaurant, or private member's club
  • WSET L3 certification or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of wine, including wine regions, grape varieties, and wine production methods
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
